After the proper medical personnel have arrived and given appropriate treatment, ask a friend to take pictures of the items or defect that caused the accident. Also, have the friend speak with any witnesses to the incident and to try and get their contact information. Make sure you file a report and notify the property owner or the person in control of the premises that you were injured. Finally, make sure to have your friend write down all information regarding the area, location, and building where the incident occurred.
