On July 8 2017, Flickinger Legal Group is sponsoring “The Poker Run of All Poker Runs” to benefit The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. We are asking for your help in trying to find a cure for this terrible disease. 100% of all money collected will go to the The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Our two poster children for the event are Alex Benningfield and Matilda McKellar, known as the “Coughing Cousins.” Alex is a 5-year old and is in Kindergarten at Oak Stone Academy and his cousin Matilda is 2-years old and lives in San Francisco. Poker Run rules: This run is different from most in that you may start any one (1) of our six (6) primary locations. You may start the Poker Run at any of the following: Streetside 62 in Washington Court House; La Chatelaine in Dublin; Boston’s Restaurant in Marysville; Robie’s Pub in Pataskala; Quaker Steak and Lube in Columbus; or No Cages Harley Davidson in Plain City. Our brand new bonus stop will be No Cages Harley Davidson located at 7610 Commerce Place, Plain City, OH 43064. The stop that sign-ins of the most riders will win a large trophy for display. Because we have a lot of Cystic Fibrosis Foundation supporters who do not ride motorcycles, we will be allowing all vehicles to participate in this poker run. We anticipate that the vast majority will be motorcycle, but we certainly do not want to exclude our Cystic Fibrosis friends. The first bike vehicle out at all locations will be at 10:00 a.m. Remember: you can leave from any of those six (6) locations. At each location, you will draw a card. It will then be placed on your sheet which you have purchased at the location you began the run. The entry fee is $25.00 per rider; $15.00 per passenger. At each stop, you will again pull a card and it will be entered onto your sheet. The ending location will be Quaker Steak & Lube. All vehicles must be in at QSL by 5:00 p.m. Festivities will start at 6:00 p.m. Grand Prize Winner: $1,000.00 and a huge trophy; Second Place: $500.00; Third Place: $250.00; Fourth Place; $200.00; Fifth Place – $100.00; Sixth Place – $100.00; Seventh Place – $100.00; Eighth Place – $100.00; Ninth Place – $100.00; Tenth Place – $100.00; Bonus Prizes – even if you do not have a good hand, there will be two (2) drawings for $200.00 each for any card completed that was not among the top 10 winners. Therefore, the total prize money that will be given out for the Poker Run is $3,000.00. Festivities: Rich the Lube Guy has graciously agreed to return to QSL to MC our event. We are very excited to have Rich return to the place he made famous. We will have an F Permit at Quaker Steak & Lube so that beer and food can be sold in the parking lot. We will have Hurricane Jerry Loos who will open and the headliner will be “The Trains.” We are in the process of obtaining items for a charity auction with all money to benefit The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. We are hopeful that each of the stops will also be providing festivities as well. It is our intent to make this a day-long event for all participants and all stops, ending with a huge party on Saturday evening at Quaker Steak and Lube. For those car enthusiasts, this is also the weekend of the Good Guy’s 20th PPG Nationals in Columbus, Ohio, at the Ohio Expo Center. If you have even been to QSL on Saturday night during the Good Guy’s convention, you know there will be a lot of hot rods in the parking lot adding to the festivities. We look forward to seeing all of you on July 8, 2017 and ask that you reach into your pocket to provide as many donations as possible so that we can help stop this terrible disease. We will have representatives of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation present at the event. It is our intent to announce the total amount raised that evening. Again, all money collected goes to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, no expenses, prize money, etc. is taken out of the contributions.
